Beautiful beaches, historic castles, mountains, and rivers can all be found in the region which brings together all the very best elements of Scotland. The area is easily accessed by road and rail while Aberdeen International Airport provides a gateway to countless European destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Amazing Opportunities and a Warm Welcome Await you in NHS Grampian<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NHS Grampian, which\nis one of the 10 principal Health Boards in Scotland, provides healthcare\nservices to the North and North East of the country. We employ around 17,000\nstaff who deliver our services to 570,000 people spread across 3,360 square\nmiles of city, town, village and rural communities across Grampian.\n&nbsp;&nbsp;Our staff also work closely with teams in other NHS Boards in the\nnorth to deliver specialist tertiary care to the population in the North of\nScotland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NHS Grampian\nprovides healthcare from more than twenty hospitals across the area; ranging\nfrom small community facilities to the Foresterhill Health Campus, one of the\nbiggest healthcare sites in Europe. It is home to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, a\nlarge teaching hospital; Royal Aberdeen Children\u2019s Hospital, and Aberdeen\nMaternity Hospital, which oversees 4,000-5,000 births every year. The site is\nalso home to the University of Aberdeen medical school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NHS Grampian is\ncommitted to providing excellent facilities for the delivery of 21st Century\nhealthcare. \u00a3300M is being invested in new buildings, including a brand new\nmaternity hospital, all due to open in the coming years. The \u2018Welcome Wards\u2019\nprogramme, developed in Grampian, has been described as the most welcoming and\npatient centred visiting scheme anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NHS Grampian has a\nvery close working relationship with both the University of Aberdeen (with its\ninternationally renowned Medical School and Dental School) and Robert Gordon\nUniversity (who provide a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate education).&nbsp;&nbsp;\nAs the key providers of training locally, their students are given the\nopportunity to learn and develop alongside experienced professionals. There are\nalso development and research opportunities for staff, allowing them to gain\nfurther qualifications.
